I did a screenshot of this lovely card, and then I couldn't remember how it was made! Well, I finally remembered!! It was what I called a "Double the Fun" card - a combination of a Book Binder card and a "Z" Fold. It's actually a quick and easy card, that is just gorgeous!
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 3 1/4" x 4 1/4", scrap
- Thoughtful Journey DSP (OE): 1 6"x6" sheet desired scenic print
To Make This Card:
- Fold Thick Basic White card base in half. Score front at 2 1/8" - 4 1/4". Crease well, creating a "book binding" fold and a "Z" fold.
- Place Tear n Tape on the 1 1/4" area, near crease. Press together creating a Book Binding Fun Fold.
- Take your 6" x 6" pc of "scenic print" and trim so it measures 5 3/8" wide, choosing the best scenery, and removing what you can do without, so it measure 5 3/8" x 6"!
- Next, we'll cut across the piece. The first cut is @ 1". (This goes on the "book binding" piece).
- Then, cut an arch from the next part of the DSP, using the arch that will fit from top to bottom.
- Lastly, straighten the edge from the arch cut for the last piece.
- Adhere the first piece to the "book binding".
- Stamp the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink onto the arched piece. Then, adhere arch to other White layer.
- Next, adhere last DSP strip to inside of card. You may want to trim this a little narrower.
- Place Tear n Tape on the "Z" part of the card, along the fold, and along the cut edge.
- Center the piece with the arch in place, with even amounts of DSP showing at either end. Press into place.
- Die cut a "sailboat" from a white scrap. Adhere to the front of the arch.
- Finish by stamping sentiment on the inside.
- Finish outside with Wink of Stella in the "water", and scattered Brass Birds.
