Becky's Stampin' Studio: Autumn Barn

I designed this card for this months' Stamp Club using the new Christmas Barn bundle! I wanted to show that the barn isn't just for Christmas!! And, I just LOVE the dies from the Grassy Grove bundle, which many of you already have! Add a burnished sky created with ink and a Blending Brush, and you have a clean and simple card!

Measurements:

Cherry Cobbler: 1/2 sheet
Crumb Cake: 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4" (one goes inside), scrap

To Make This Card:

Center "grove of trees" and cut from Crumb Cake piece.
To create the "Autumn leaves", select several fall colors of ink. I used Mango Melody, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, and Soft Suede, but any fall colors will work. Try them on a scrap of Crumb Cake first!. You will apply them to your trees with Sponge Daubers (the Blending Brushes are just too big!)
Next, stamp the "Barn" in Memento Black onto a scrap of White. Color the Barn, as shown. I used Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Basic Black. Cut out with coordinating die. I also removed the "snow" from the base of the "barn".
To create the soft sky, I used Balmy Blue ink and a Blending Brush. You want light and dark areas, and you can make it as light or dark as you'd like...or a different color!
You will want to determine the placement of the barn behind the trees BEFORE you add the Dimensionals. Lay the "barn" on the background, then the "trees". Lightly mark your desired placement with a pencil. Remove the "trees" and adhere the "barn" to the "sky". Set aside.
I wanted to "pop up" the "grove of trees" from the barn. (It does look really neat IRL!) To do this, you will need to use a variety of Dimensionals. I started with Foam Adhesive strips around the edges. I also used them where I could for the tree trunks. You do NOT need to put Dimensionals on the entire piece. Add the various sizes to different areas, trimming as necessary.
Now, remove all the backings from all those Dimensionals. Fun!!
Line up the outside edges of the "trees" to the outside edges of the "sky" and adhere. GORGEOUS!!
Lastly, adhere to folded Cherry Cobbler Card!
Finish with White piece inside.
