Picture This Trees

I just love the Picture This dies! There are SO MANY ways to use them. I love them for a background with some interesting DSP behind! For this one, I used the versatile Whimsical Trees with the rectangle Picture This die! There are so many options for the trees!

Measurements:

Mint Macaron: 1/2 sheet
Whimsy & Wonder DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (mint print) , 1" x 4" (stripe)
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2" x 4" (lg tree overlay), 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" (sm tree)
Just Jade: 2" x 4"
Evening Evergreen: 2 1/4" x 5"
Silver Foil: 2 1/4" x 5"

To Make This Card:

Attach DSP to Mint Macaron card base.
Cut "rectangle" windows from White with Picture This die. Attach to card front with Dimensionals.
Use snips and "flag" stripe DSP. Attach to card as shown.
Cut tall tree from Evening Evergreen.
Cut tall "overlay" from White. Attach to Evergreen Tree. Adhere to card.
Stamp "scribble tree" in Evening Evergreen onto piece of Just Jade. Cut out with corresponding die.
Cut larger "garland" from Silver Foil. Add to tree and trim bottom. Adhere to front of cad.
Stamp "feathered tree" in Evening Evergreen onto scrap of White. Cut out with corresponding die. Add to card with Dimensionals.
Cut "ornaments" from scrap of Silver Foil. These are so neat, they are even a little rounded!! I attached these to the large tree with Mini Glue Dots.
Stamp sentiment in Evening Evergreen into upper "window".
Add Mint Macaron bow to top of big tree.
Finish with clear Rhinestones on the top of trees and scattered in window!

Whimsical Trees Faux Side Step Card

I had not used the neat Mossy Meadow holly with Polished Pink berries in the Whimsy & Wonder DSP. So I set out to make another Faux Side Step Card using that paper. I combined it with the Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum (mounted on Basic White first). I let the DSP "speak" to me, and here it is!

Measurements:

Polished Pink: 5 1/2" x 8", 3" x 6", 2" x 3 1/2" (stamped tree)
Whimsy & Wonder DSP (N): 7/8" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" (base), 2 3/4" x 4" (step), 3/8" x 5 1/4" strip (inside)
Basic White: 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 2" x 3 1/2" (under tree), scrap (under message)
Mossy Meadow: 1 1/4" x 2 3/8", 2" x 3 1/2" (detailed tree)

To Make This Card:

Score Polished Pink base along 8" side at 3" - 6" - 7". Accordion fold as shown. Crease well.
Attach 7/8" x 5 1/4" DSP piece to "bottom". Skip an area, and attach larger DSP piece to the next area.
Now, take the Pink 3" x 6" piece (step) and score along 6" side at 4 1/4". Crease well. Attach corresponding DSP to the front of this piece.
Turn this over and add Tear & Tape to the lower back edge of both the top and the bottom. (you are on the wrong side).
Stamp "sketchy" tree in Mossy Meadow onto piece of Polished Pink. Cut out with corresponding die. Also, cut this same tree from Basic White and Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum.
Attach the Pink Shimmer Vellum to the White base.
Stamp the smaller tree in Mossy Meadow. Cut out with corresponding die.
Also, cut the "detail" tree from Mossy Meadow. Attach this to the Shimmer Vellum tree
Arrange the trees onto the "step" as shown. The tree on the left is flush on the step, the other 2 trees are popped up.
Remove the Tear & Tape covering on the "step" piece and place even with the lower edge. Remove the other covering, fold the card flat, and attach to the back of card. You can place this piece wherever you would like, left, right, or center.
For the sentiment, adhere a small piece of Polished Pink Shimmer Ribbon to Basic White. Stamp sentiment in Mossy Meadow and cut out with smallest Stitched So Sweetly Die. Add to card with Dimensionals.
Finish by coloring Clear Rhinestones with Polished Pink Blend, and adhering to tops of trees, and a Polished Pink Open Weave bow.

Book Binding Card with a Twist + Video

I have only ever seen one sample that changes the direction of the Book Binding orientation. (I guess that's what you'd call it!) So, of course, I had to give it a go. This is an "original" design, and I LOVE it! It is so much prettier in person!

Measurements:

Basic Gray: 1/2 sheet
Basic White: 3" x 5 1/4"
Peaceful Place DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (white & silver tree border)(will selectively trim), 7/8" x 5 1/4" (snowflakes)
Silver Foil: 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"

To Make This Card:

Fold Soft Succulent card base in half. Score at 1" rom fold, front side only. Crease the front back well. Place adhesive under this 1 1/4" and glue front and back together.
Attach "snowflakes "DSP strip to this.
Emboss "sketchy tree" from the Whimsical Trees in silver embossing powder onto silver foil. This technique is absolutely gorgeous!! Cut out with corresponding die.
Determine where you would like to place your trees on the "tree border" DSP piece that you've cut. Trim this piece so it measures 3"
Attach DSP to card front. Stamp sentiment in Black along white "border".
Attach "tree" to front with Dimensionals.
Add a White Glitter bow to the top of the tree.
Decorate the tree with Rhinestones.
Finish by cutting 2 "tall, skinny" trees from Silver Foil, and adding them to the inside of your card.
