Beautiful Gallery Gatefold Pop-Up Card

My aunt shared this beautiful card with me using the Beautiful Gallery DSP. She wondered how it was made. I decided to do a little investigating. Little did she know that she was showing me the wrong side of this card, which while interesting, is not as pretty as the front! I have actually seen quite a few of this design of card, but none as pretty as this one!  The focal point on the inside arch, is my own doing.  Takes a little time to prepare, but is really fun to make!

  • Layer all DSP to Secret Sea layers.
  • Then, adhere larger pieces to front and back of Cloud Cover Base.
  • Next, adhere the 4 medium pieces to the front and back, and then the center pieces.

Pretty Floral 2-Way Z-Fold

I captured this card on a Facebook Reel! I have no clue what it is called...but I LOVE it!!  It's a "Z-fold" card base, with another DSP card inside that flips up! It's really fun to make, especially using the Pretty Floral Bundle and Florals in Bloom DSP! I really will have to try another one!!

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" (embossed), 3 3/4" x 5" (inside), 2 pcs @ 3 1/4" square (circles), scraps
  • Florals in Bloom DSP: 1 7/8" x 5 1/4", 4" x 10 1/2" (Hyacinth print)
  • Garden Green: scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Create "Z-Fold" by folding White card base in 1/2 and then folding the front of card back so the cut edge lines up to the crease.  Crease well.
  • Adhere 1 7/8" strip of DSP to front flap.
  • Fold the other piece of DSP in half.  Adhere to inside of card, making sure the directional print is "right side up".
  • Emboss the White piece with the Pressed Flower Embossing Folder, and adhere to the "back side" of "Z".
  • Cut 2 circles from the largest stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  Set aside.
  • Stamp 2 Petunia Pop "Hyacinth's" and 1 Secret Sea "Hyacinth".  Cut from corresponding die.  Set aside.
  • Die cut 1 small and 1 large "stem" from Garden Green cardstock.
  • Adhere the large "stem" to one circle.  Adhere one Petunia Pop flower flush to the "stem" and then adhere the Secret Sea one overlapping it slightly, with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp sentiment in Secret Sea ink onto 1/2" strip of White.  Cut ends diagonally. Attach to circle with Dimensionals. Then, add circle to front flap of card.
  • Attach the larger, White piece to inside of card. Adhere the smaller "stem" and then add the final Petunia Pop card.
  • Stamp sentiment in Secret Sea ink onto final circle. Adhere to "flip up card" behind other front circle.
  • Finish front of card with bow of Linen Thread and scattered Flat Pearls.  I also added several Flat Pearls to the underneath circle.
  • Oh, and I also added a little Wink of Stella to all the flowers.

Pretty Florals Center Tower Pop Up Card

I have always found these Center Tower Cards with the popped out messages fascinating. There are several ways to make the tower, and so many things to add to the little "extensions" added to it! I wanted to share this one with my Club Stampers as it utilizes the Pretty Florals Bundle, which we are using this month in Club! I love this DSP - Florals in Bloom!  It's so bright and cheerful! I tried to incorporate many of the elements in this bundle on this card, so they could experience a good part of it!  I really like how it turned out!

Measurements:

  • Strawberry Slush (N): 1/2 sheet (base), 4" x 5 3/8", 3 pcs @ 1 3/4" x 3 1/8", scrap
  • Florals in Bloom DSP: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 3/8" (multi-floral)
  • Basic White: 3 pcs @ 1 5/8" x 1 7/8", scraps
  • Adhesive Sheet: scraps
  • Pretty in Pink: scrap
  • Bubble Bath: scrap
  • Petunia Pop: scrap
  • Granny Apple Green: scraps
  • Garden Green: scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Score Strawberry Slush Tower at 1" - 2" - 3".  Crease well, making "mountain" fold.
  • Adhere 1 pc of DSP to the inside of the card.
  • Now, take the scored "tower" and place Tear n Tape on the 2 outside sections. Fold in half with the tape on the outside.  Remove the backing on the "back" pieces, insert into the card with the cut edge even with the center crease, making sure it will close, and adhere.  Repeat for the other side.  Your "tower" is done and in place!
  • Next, I added the little message flaps!  I placed the top and bottom ones, first, going one direction, and then added the other one going the other. (Or, you can finish the entire pieces and then add them) (I wasn't sure what I wanted to use!)
  • For mine, I used the "Happy Birthday" from the Sweetly Scripted stamp set in the Online Exclusives. (It may be gone).  I stamped it in Strawberry Slush ink.
  • For the 3 "Hyacinth's" I stamped the "detail" in Strawberry Slush, and the "background" in stamped off Strawberry Slush.  And, 4 stems in Granny Apple Green. Die cut with corresponding dies. Set aside.
  • Stamp "other flower" the same way.  You will use the largest one. Die cut.
  • Attach all the "flowers" to the die cut stems. (I used Mini Glue Dots).
  • Adhere one "Hyacinth" to the center, of one White piece, and then add the other 2 on either side.  The tops just hang over top edge.  Then, trim the flower "stems".
  • For the last piece, I stamped the sentiment in Strawberry Slush ink, and then added the different "flower".
  • Then, I added these White, "message" pieces to the tower.  I embellished with Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls.
  • The inside is done!
  • Now, for the outside. First, add the DSP to the front.
  • Then, I die cut 2, larger flower bases.  There are so many colors to choose from!!  I chose Pretty in Pink and Bubble Bath.
  • Next, choose 2 coordinating colors for the "detail" die cut.  I chose Strawberry Slush and Petunia Pop. To make it easier to adhere, I put a scrap of Adhesive Sheet on the back before I cut this out.  Lining this up is easy, the adhesive sheet makes it a breeze!
  • Then, I cut out a variety of "greenery" in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green.
  • Arrange the flowers and greenery on the front of the card. One flower is flat and I popped up the other, then tried and adhered the greenery.
  • I finished the flowers with corresponding Flat Pearls.
