Beautiful Gallery Gatefold Pop-Up Card

My aunt shared this beautiful card with me using the Beautiful Gallery DSP. She wondered how it was made. I decided to do a little investigating. Little did she know that she was showing me the wrong side of this card, which while interesting, is not as pretty as the front! I have actually seen quite a few of this design of card, but none as pretty as this one! The focal point on the inside arch, is my own doing. Takes a little time to prepare, but is really fun to make!

Measurements:

Cloud Cover (N): 4 1/4" x 11"
Secret Sea (N): 4 pcs @ 2 1/2" x 4", 4 pcs @ 2" x 4", 2 pcs @ 3/4" x 4", 1 7/8" x 3 1/8" (#3 arch)
Beautiful Gallery DSP (N): 4 pcs @ 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" (Blue Rose); 4 pcs @ 1 3/4" x 3 3/4", 2 pcs @ 5/8" x 3 3/4" (Lagoon print)
Basic White: 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" (#5 arch), 2 1/8" x 3 1/2" (#4 arch), 1 1/2" x 2 7/8" (#2 arch), scrap for stamped image

To Make This Card:

Score Cloud Cover Base @ 2 3/4" - 5" - 6" - 8 1/4". Make a "valley" fold, 2 "mountain" folds, and a "valley" fold. Crease well.
Layer all DSP to Secret Sea layers.
Then, adhere larger pieces to front and back of Cloud Cover Base.
Next, adhere the 4 medium pieces to the front and back, and then the center pieces.
Die cut the 3 White arches in the sizes given, as well as the Secret Sea arch.
Layer the smallest White and Secret Sea together. Add desired sentiment in Secret Sea ink, and then adhere to back side as shown.
I stamped a "sprig" to the next-size White Arch in Secret Sea. and adhered it, as shown. It just fits.
For the front Focal Point. Stamp largest flower image from the Charming Day stamp set in Memento Black onto piece of White. Color with Blends as shown. Die cut with corresponding die.
Adhere to largest arch. Stamp desired sentiment in Secret Sea. and then add to front 1".
Finish with scattered Flat Pearls.

Charming Day Spring Platform Pop-Up Card

I saw this fun, fun fold, from Dawn Griffith that used 2 of my favorite things - the Arched Dies and the new Charming Day Bundle! It also has a neat 2-way opening but most of all, a fun "spring" mechanism, that makes the insert just pop! I'll be looking for ways to encorporate this one in the future!

Measurements:

Petal Pink: 1/2 sheet
Subtles Print Pattern: 4" x 5 1/4" (Petal Pink small print)
Basic White: 3 3/4" x 10" (inside), 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" (Spring Mechanism), 2 1/4" x 3" (arch layer), 1" x 2" (label), scraps
Mossy Meadow: scrap

To Make this Card:

Adhere the outside edges only of the DSP to the folded Petal Pink card base.
Die cut the 5th from the largest arch front the center of the front of this base. You will keep the solid, cardstock piece, and toss the DSP piece.
Next, die cut the next smallest arch in Basic White and layer together.
Now, for the inside "card". Fold the largest piece in half. Center it and place inside the base card.
Next, stamp 3 of the small flowers from the Charming Day stamp set onto a scrap of White. Color in with Blends, and die cut. 2 will go on the outside, and one will go on the inside of the card. I also added Wink of Stella to the flowers at this time, too.
Stamp the sentiment in Memento Black ink onto the label, and set aside. Also stamp an inside sentiment onto a narrow strip of White and set this aside, too.
Now, arrange the 2 flowers onto the layered arches, Making sure the "leaves" do not extend over the cut edges. Also, add sentiment to the arch with Dimensionals, as shown.
Next, we'll make the "spring" mechanism. Score the 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece @ 1/2"-1"-1 1/2" from each end. "Accordion" fold at each end, so each end is the same. Crease well.
Close card, and center "spring mechanism" in arched opening. Adhere the 1/2" on each side, to the center (green glue gives you time to slide it into place) so it will "spring"!
Next, place adhesive on the exposed 1 1/4" area, center layered arch piece through the opening in the front and adhere to the "spring". And, voila, it's done! (It is a little snug, but that's ok.)
On the inside of the inside card, Add one of the flowers, along with a die cut, small leaf, in the upper corner. Add the sentiment so that it overlaps the stamped image just a bit.
Finish with scattered Petal Pink gems from the Charming Shimmer Dots.

Clean & Simple Charming Day Card

I was looking for a Clean & Simple card for my class at the Senior Center, and this one grabbed my attention! It was perfect for them! They love to color, and the ribbon was something new for them. Plus they always love something interesting inside. I frequently add a strip of DSP, which I could have done, but the original idea had the stamped images to color! So, we did, too!

Measurements:

Mossy Meadow: 1/2 sheet, 2 1/2" x 4"
Floral Charm DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (Coral Floral Print)
Timid Tiger (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (inside)
Basic White: 2 1/4" x 3 1/2", 3 3/4" x 5" (inside)

To Make This Card:

Adhere DSP to folded Mossy Meadow card.
Die cut 2 rectangles from the Textured Notes Dies, that will layer together. The larger one in Mossy Meadow, and the smaller one in Basic White.
Stamp small "flower" from the Charming Day stamp set onto White layer in Memento Black ink, as shown. Stamp desired sentiment on top
Also, stamp small "flower" in lower corner of inside White layer, and a sprig in the upper right corner.
Color all with Blends.
Layer outside piece onto Mossy Meadow layer. And, layer inside White piece onto Timid Tiger layer and then inside card.
Take 12" of Timid Tiger Faux Linen ribbon and loop behind rectangles, as shown.
Then, add this piece to card front with Dimensionals.
Finish with Wink of Stella on the "flowers", and scattered Petal Pink Charming Shimmer Dots on the layer.
