Petal Park Fun Fold

I have always loved this simple fold!  No clue what it's called, or what I've called it in the past! What I do know, is I like the use of the individual punched flowers and leaves, rather than the full stamped greenery that shows you where to put the flowers! Paired with the Country Gingham DSP, new 3D Basics Embossing Folders, and Scalloped Contour dies...I just love it!

Measurements:

  • Petal Pink: 1/4 sheet, 3" x 5", 2 3/4" x 4"
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" x 4", scraps
  • Country Gingham DSP (N): 2 3/4" x 4"
To Make This Card:
  • Score "lift panel" at 3/4".
  • Attach DSP to large area.
  • Place Tear n Tape on flap, and attach to 1/4 sheet base, with fold even with the cut edge of base.
  • Run White inside layer through Cross-Hatch 3D Basic Embossing Folder.  Attach to "base, over 3/4" extension.
  • Die cut stitched scallop from Scalloped Contour Dies. Attach to corresponding Petal Pink layer.
  • Stamp "detail" of flowers, twice,  in Calypso Coral. Add "solid" Petal Pink on top.  Now punch both batches of flowers.
  • Next, stamp 4-5 "detail leaves" in Shaded Spruce. Add "solid", stamped off Shaded Spruce on top.  Punch out with corresponding punch.
  • Shape 2 large flowers with stylus from the Take Your Pick Tool, and place onto White layer.
  • Shape 4 leaves (I drew a "vein" with a stylus). Add these by flowers.
  • Now, stamp "filler leaves" between the 2 large flowers, with a little space in between.  Add smallest flower in between.
  • Add this piece to "Flap". NoteMake sure you only put adhesive on 1/2 of the layer!
  • Finish with Iridescent Pearls for the flower centers and a few scattered around.

Petal Park Book Binding Card

I just love the combination of the Country Gingham DSP with the Petal Park punched flowers! And, I love it made in a Book Binding card!! I also added extra punched leaves and layered, punched flowers, for some awesome dimension! We will be doing this card at my monthly Card Club!

Measurements:

  • Balmy Blue: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4 1/8" square - base & inside; 3 5/8" square (image),                     1 1/8" x 4 1/8", scraps
  • Country Gingham DSP (N): 1" x 4", 4" square
To Make This Card:
  • Fold Balmy Blue card base in half.  Score at 1 1/4" from fold, front side only.  Crease the front back well. Place adhesive under this 1 1/4" and glue front and back together.
  • Add the White layer to both the "binding" and the "front".
  • Next, add the Balmy Blue gingham pieces.
  • Now, stamp the "detail" leaves in Mint Macaron, to the smallest White square (it just fits).  I used the Stamparatus to line up the images.  Next, stamp the "solid" stamp, stamped off,  over the previous image, again, using the Stamparatus. Attach to card front.
  • Stamp "outline" of flowers in Pacific Point onto a scrap of White. Add "solid" flowers in Balmy Blue. Punch out with corresponding punch.  Repeat.
  • Next, stamp "detail" leaf in Mint Macaron onto strip of White.  Add "solid" leaf in stamped off, leaf. Create 4 such leaves, and punch out with corresponding punch.
  • Shape flowers with stylus.
  • Layer flowers as desired and add to card.
  • Shape leaves, by creating a "vein" down the center.  Attach to card where desired.
  • Add yellow centers to flowers, and scattered Balmy Blue embellishments to front of card.
  • Finish with Balmy Blue ombre bow on the "binding".

Blue Petal Park Fun Fold

This is another version of an easy Fun Fold using the Regency Park DSP. It also uses that gorgeous Fancy Label Die from the Sentimental Park dies. We created this version of our stampers at Silvercrest!  I love the blue tones, I think they will, too!

  • Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5" (inside), 2 3/4" x 4" (label for stamping)

Petal Park Fun Fold

This card is a variation of one created by Susan LaCroix. I have done this simple fun fold, but I have just gotten the Petal Park Bundle, so gave her idea a try!  It utilizes the beautiful, coordinating Regency Park DSP, the Petal Park stamps, and the coordinating Petal Park flower Builder punch. Oh, and to create the hexagon "label" I used the carried over Very Best Trio punch!

Measurements:

  • Mango Melody: 1/2 sheet. 3" x 4 1/4" (label)
  • Regency Park DSP (N): 2 3/4" x 5 1/4", 1" x 5 1/4"
  • Shaded Spruce: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5" (inside), 2 3/4" x 4" (label for stamping), scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Score card at 3" from one end.  Turn and score at 1 1/4" from the other end. Crease well with bone folder. It should meet!
  • Attach DSP pieces to front flaps as shown.
  • Add White inside layer to Shaded Spruce layer and adhere to inside of card.  Stamp trio of flowers in Mango Melody, if desired.
  • Ink up the "detail" trio of flowers in Mango Melody and stamp onto scrap of White cardstock.  Add "solid" color of Mango Melody, stamped off so you will be able to see the detail! Punch out with coordinating punch.  All 3 flowers are on one stamp, so all you need to do is line them up with the punch and punch once!!  Too cool! Set these aside for now.
  • Next punch all corners of the label pieces.
  • I used the Stamparatus to stamp the 2-step "greenery".
  • Stamp the "detail" full strength onto White, punched layer.
  • Line up the "solid" stamp, stamp off onto a scrap of paper, and then stamp on top of "detail".
  • Layer this White layer onto the Mango Melody layer and center and add to card as shown.
  • Next, attach flowers to "greenery" openings with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with new, Milky Dot centers. I also filled in an open area with a small sentiment stamped in Shaded Spruce.
