Gingham Strawberry

 Mom & I got together yesterday to create our cards for my Garner classes on Monday. We frequently create using retired products, so I can use up what I have and use some of my favorite stamps!  But the beauty of that is that the designs and layouts are still doable with ANY products you have in your stash!! This one uses the Black Gingham from the retired Host paper pack and a Poppy Parade strawberry.  The inspiration came from the Accordion Fold layout we did in class this week.  See previous post.

Measurements:  

• Basic Black: 1/2 sheet, 3" square
• Pattern Party DSP (ret): 1 7/8" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" square
• Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", scraps

To Make This Card:

• Trim 2 1/8" from front of folded Black card.
• Attach longer strip of DSP to front of card, and smaller square to Black square.
• Attach White layer to "inside" of card.
• Stamp sentiment in Black, onto scrap of White.  Cut out with Stitched Rectangle.
• Stamp solid "strawberry" in stamped off Poppy Parade onto scrap of White, stamped "detail" full strength and punch out with corresponding punch. Repeat with "stem" and Garden Green.  Assemble
• Add sentiment to square, and pop up strawberry with Dimensional.
• Finish with Black Matte Dots.

Simple Pretty Pumpkins

 Fall is in the air, and I'm still thinking pumpkins! I designed this card for my Card Class at Garner.  I love the trio of pumpkins from the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle, paired with the black and white leaves from the host Pattern Party DSP!  Got some extra time? You could color the leaves in your favorite fall colors!

Measurements:  

• Pumpkin Pie: 1/2 sheet, 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
• Pattern Party DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
• Basic White: 2 3/4" x 4", scrap

To Make This Card:

• Attach DSP to folded Pumpkin Pie card.
• Cut largest stitched rectangle from Pumpkin Pie  Cut the next largest stitched rectangle from Basic White. Layer these 2 rectangles together.
• Stamp sentiment in upper right corner of White piece in Memento Black. Now, you can mount this piece to card with Dimensionals.
• Stamp 3 pumpkins in Memento ink onto scrap of Basic White. Color with Blends as shown, and cut out with corresponding die.  
• Mount onto White piece with Dimensionals.
• Finish with Black Rhinestones (ret).

Just playing around with Pattern Party DSP backing, the Floral Squares and a possible layout.

Measurements:   

• Misty Moonlight: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  
• Basic White: scrap (sentiment)
• Pool Party: 2" square
• Granny Apple Green: 2" square
• Pale Papaya (N): 2" square
• Pattern Party (Host) DSP: 3 pcs 2 7/8" square, 1 strip 3/4" x 4 1/4"

To Make This Card:

• Choose 3 Floral Squares to cut from colored cardstock.  Attach to DSP squares.
• Lay DSP strip onto card front.  Arrange Floral Squares in a pleasing manner.  I attached the center one on Dimensionals.
• Stamp sentiment of your choice onto scrap of white and cut out with matchin Message Die. (I stamp all of them, cut them out, and save in a baggie for future use!) Attach to card at lower right corner.
• Finish with a Pale Papaya and White bow.

Floral Squares Slimline Stripe

I discovered that if you want to use all four Floral Squares, you either need to stack them in a square, or use them on a Slimline card!  For this quick one, I put them on top of our awesome host DSP option - the Parttern Party mega DSP pack - the equivalent of 4 packs of DSP!!  Gorgeous prints and colors, and beautiful Black and White print on the back.

Measurements:   

• Poppy Parade: 7" x 8 1/2"
  
• Basic White:2" x 8 1/2" strip, scrap
• Pattern Party (Host) DSP: 3 1/4" x 8 1/4"

To Make This Card:

• Score Poppy Parade card base at 3 1/2".
• Attach the DSP to the folded Poppy Parade card base.
• Cut out 4 Floral Squares from strip of Basic White.  Attach directly onto DSP with Multipurpose Glue.
• Attach to card base where desired.
• Stamp message in Memento black onto scrap of white. Cut out with die of your choice from the Ornate Frames dies.
• Finish by coloring Basic Pearls with Dk Poppy Parade Blend, and attaching to Floral Squares.
