Brushed Gold Card using Stars at Night

This gorgeous quick card uses the Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes in the current mini.  Missed them? They're gorgeous...and still available! I combined it with the Shining Brightly DSP (ret), die cut gold stars, die cut Dazzle star, and scattered Star Trinkets. Absolutely stunning IRL!!

Measurements:

  • Brushed Gold Card & Envelope
  • Shining Brightly DSP (N)(ret): 2 3/4" square (Navy Star)
  • Gold Foil: 2 3/4" square, 1 3/4" x 3"
  • More Dazzle Specialty paper (AC): 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
To Make This Card:

  • Die cut "radiating star" and "long skinny star" from Gold Foil. Adhere "radiating star" to Navy square. Set the other "star" aside.
  • Die cut little larger "skinny star" from More Dazzle paper. Mount with "skinny" star and all over "radiating star" with Dimensional.
  • Take 4" of Navy & Gold ribbon. Fold in half, and adhere behind Navy square, as shown.
  • Now attach this Navy square to folded card.
  • Stamp sentiment in NIght of Navy ink.
  • Finish with Star Trinket in center of Star, and several scattered stars.

Gold Embossed Stars at Night

I was looking for an idea that incorporated both the gorgeous Stars at Night Embossing folder, from the Hybrid bundle, but also the dies. I found this one, that used both fabulously!

Measurements:

  • Very Vanilla: 1/2 sheet, 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Gold Foil: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
To Make This Card:

  • Die cut the Stitched Rectangle from Gold Foil layer. Set this piece aside for the moment.
  • Adhere this Gold Foil frame to the folded Very Vanilla card. It should fit the entire card front.
  • Next, emboss the other Very Vanilla piece with the Stars at Night Embossing Fold.
  • Wrap ribbon around bottom of embossed piece and tape edges to the back.
  • Now, attach this to the card front.
  • Take the center from the Gold Foil frame. It's not quite large enough to cut and emboss all three pieces together, but I prefered to cut it into pieces anyway.  You'll need one piece for each cut & embossed star.
  • The connected 3 star die fits beautifully into the Hybrid Embossing Folder.  I cut one star at a time.  It worked perfectly!
  • Then, take each cut and embossed star, and using Multipurpose Glue, attach each one over coordinating embossed area on the embossed front, as shown.
  • Finish with Gilded Gems (ret) centers and a few scattered Star Trinkets (also ret), and a small bow.
