Diamond Pop Up Tiara Card

I actually spotted this card created by Lavonne Schwendeman, however, she gave credit to Rachel Tessman, so it was Rachel's video that I watched to re-create Lavonne's card. Follow??  Anyway, I do like my finished project, but this is a "one and done" card for me, so much so, that I am not even going to attempt to write up what I did, and direct you to Rachel's awesome YouTube video instead.  It's called a Diamond Pop Up Tiara Card!

Rustic Artistic Leaves

I saw this gorgeous fall card by Mary Deatherage. It's just stunning in person!  It uses the Woven Textures DSP from the Online Store along with the awesome Artistic Leaves also in the Online Store. Again, this neat stamp is a 2-step stamp that lends itself to some gorgeous shading and use of 2 coordinating colors, this time in "traditional" fall colors.

Measurements:

  • Timid Tiger (N): 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside) 5/8" x 3 1/4" (sentiment), scraps
  • Pecan Pie: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Woven Textures DSP (OE): 3 pcs 1 1/4" x 5 1/8" (basket weave), 3" square (linen) (circle)
To Make This Card:
  • Adhere the 3 pieces of DSP to the Pecan Pie layer. There is only about a 1/16" edge.
  • Then, adhere to folded Timid Tiger card base.
  • Die cut largest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies in Linen DSP.  Add some "splatter" in Timid Tiger ink. Adhere to front of card over DSP strips.
  • Stamp largest part of "leaf" in Timid Tiger ink.  Then stamp the "shading" in Cajun Craze.
  • Stamp 3 accent "leaves" first in Mossy Meadow.  Then, add the "shading" in Granny Apple Green.
  • Sadly, these will have to be "fussy cut" as there are no dies.
  • Take piece of Timid Tiger Faux Linen Ribbon and "zig-zag" onto DSP circle, as shown.
  • Add larger "leaf" with Dimensionals over ribbon, then tuck other "leaves" underneath and adhere.
  • Take 2 pieces of Linen Thread and tie in a bow. Glue to larger "leaf" base with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Stamp sentiment in Pecan Pie onto strip of White. Add to card front, over Linen Bow
  • Finish front with scattered Pressed Flower Motifs.
  • For the inside, stamp the larger leaf as for the front down in the lower, right corner.

Elegant Rustic Fall Card

Don't miss this gorgeous leafy die in the new Mini Catalog!  It's one of the dies in the Amber Autumn Bundle, and it's just beautiful! I've used it with the equally gorgeous and new Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper. The inspiration and design comes from fellow demonstrator Terri Gaines. I love the addition of the panel for the focal point, and split banner underneath.  Just stunning!  Oh, and don't miss the embossed piece of Very Vanilla underneath.  It's embossed with our Birch Wood Embossing Folder.

Measurements:

  • Very Vanilla: 1/2 sheet,  3 7/8" x 5 1/8" (embossed), scrap
  • Earthen Toned Metallic (N) (MC): 4" x 5 1/4" (leaf die cut), 2 3/4" x 3 3/8" (rectangle), scrap
To Make This Card:
  • Run Very Vanilla layer through Birch Wood Embossing Folder. Set aside.
  • Run Metallic Layer through leafy die cut from the Amber Autumn Dies. This is very delicate and has lots of pieces that fall out, but it is SO worth it!
  • Carefully adhere the die cut to the embossed layer with Multipurpose Glue. The embossed layer should be just a little smaller.  I also just put glue on the outside edges and a little on a few of the more solid leaves.  Much of the die will be covered with other things.
  • Adhere this piece to folded Very Vanilla card.
  • Stamp "pumpkin" image in Memento ink onto scrap of Very Vanilla.  Color with fall Blends as shown.  Die cut with corresponding die.
  • Next, die cut rounded rectangle from the Nested Essentials Dies, and the largest "banner" from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
  • Cut the "banner" in half, and adhere to rectangle, or I actually added it to the card and then centered the label.
  • Add the colored "pumpkins" to the label with Dimensionals.  And, you're done! (I didn't think it needed and bling, the sheen of the cardstock and detail of the die were enough!

Clean & Simple Artistic Leaves

It's that time, again...FALL! (or Autumn in some parts of the world!) This clean & simple card uses the newer Artistic Leaves stamp set in the Online Exclusives! Instead of the gorgeous rusts and golds of autumn, I used the equally regal teal colors!  This neat stamp is a 2-step stamp that lends itself to some gorgeous shading and use of 2 coordinating colors! Please also take note of the new Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder in the Online Exclusives!

Measurements:

  • Pretty Peacock: 1/2 sheet
  • Lost Lagoon: 2 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Textured Wovens DSP (OE): 2 1/4" x 5 1/2" (Burlap)
  • Early Espresso: 1/2" x 5 1/2"
  • Basic White: 3 1/4" square (circle), 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 1/2 " x 3 1/4" (sentiment)
To Make This Card:
  • Adhere 1/2" strip of Early Espresso to wrong side of DSP piece. Then, adhere to folded Pretty Peacock card, flush with all cut edges.
  • Run the piece of Lost Lagoon, through the new Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder, and then adhere to card front as shown.
  • Die cut largest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies.
  • Stamp larger leaf in Lost Lagoon ink in center of circle.  Stamp detail of leaf in Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp "splatter" in one of the inks. Adhere to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink onto strip of White.
  • Tie bow from Linen Thread and attach to circle, where sentiment will eventually cross.
  • Add the sentiment to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Finish inside with White layer, and stamped leave (as the front, focal point).
  • Finish outside with scattered Pressed Flower Motifs.
