Love Angel Wings

Another card from my Dove of Hope Set of the Month class. The heart is our new Red Velvet! It has so much texture. It's just gorgeous! But, this bundle will be gone at the end of the month. Don't miss out!

Measurements:

Whisper White 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4", 1 1/2" strip
Brass Foil (N): 2" strip
Red Velvet (N): scrap

To Make This Card:

Run Whisper White quarter through Embossing Folder. Attach to folded Whisper White card
Cut 2 – “detailed wings” from Whisper White. Cut 2 “solid wings” from Brass Foil, flip over the Brass Foil for one of the wings. Attach together, flipping over one of the “detailed wings”..
Cut heart from scrap of Red Velvet.
Arrange all on card, and attach, popping up “heart” with a Dimensional
Finish by stamping message in black ink on the bottom. It will stamp over the embossing!

Framed Dove

Love this version of a Dove card that I found online! It has an awaesome combination of the Taste of Texture DSP ( wood) with the elegance of the Brushed Metallic cardstock! I chose to use Very Vanilla for my base and dove.

Measurements:

Very Vanilla: 1/2 sheet, 2 1/4" strip
In Good Taste DSP (N): 4” x 5 ¼”
Brushed Metallic Cardstock (N): 3 ½” x 5”
Soft Seafoam: scrap

To Make This Card:

Adhere DSP to folded Very Vanilla card.
Cut Ornate “frame” from Metallic cardstock. I used the "Tarnished Copper".
Cut full “Dove” from strip of Very Vanilla cardstock. Attach over “frame” as show
Finish with “sprig” cut from scrap of Soft Seafoam, and some scattered Elegant Gems. I also added an "eye" from the Metallic Pearls.

Shimmery Angels Wings

This is my take on using the Dove "wings" as "angel wings"!! I love using my stamps and dies in alternate ways, and the Dove "wings" DO make awesome "angel wings"!! Go to your local craft store and find some fluffy feathers to use on your card! The sentiment is stamped in coordinating ink and embossed. If you work quickly, with a moist pad, this does work to emboss. I started stamping before VersaMark ink and pigment inks, and this is what we had to do! You can also stamp in your VersaMark ink and then a colored Dye Based ink, and emboss that!

Measurements:

Whisper White: ½ sheet, 4” x 5 ¼”, 2” strip

To Make This Card:

Run Whisper White quarter through Embossing Folder. Attach to folded Whisper White card.
Stamp and emboss words (see notes above). Work quickly as Dye-Based ink dries fast! Fussy cut around words.
Cut 2 “detailed” wings from Whisper White. Color with Wink of Stella, if desired. Attach feathers to back of wings Arrange onto card where desired. Attach to card.
Finish with coordinating colored embellishments.

Night Sky Dove

We made this card last month in my Set of the Month class. Love the Brightly Gleaming DSP brought back from last year and the copper accents!

Measurements:

Night of Navy: 1/4 sheet
Very Vanilla: 5 ¼” x 8 1/8”, 2 ¼” strip
Copper Foil: 3 ¾” square
Brightly Gleaming DSP (N): 3 ½” square

To Make This Card:

Fold Vanilla card, and mount onto Night of Navy quarter.
Cut 2 solid “wings” and one “olive sprig” from center of Copper square. Set aside.
Attach Copper square and “Star” DSP to front of card
Cut 2 “detail wings” and Dove “body” from Very Vanilla strip. Attach copper behind wings. (Try offsetting the copper layer a little bit.) Arrange Dove and wings onto DSP. Add “olive sprig”
Finish by stamping message of your choice.

Seasonal Dove

I love this bundle so much, that it will be my Set of the Month class for October! This is a more "traditional" use of the Dove Dies!

Measurements:

Shaded Spruce: 1/2 sheet
Shimmery White: 2" strip
‘Tis the Season DSP (N): 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”
Green Foil (N): scraps

To Make this Card:

Randomly stamp “sprig” in Shaded Spruce along outside edges of folded Shaded Spruce card. Attach DSP to card
Cut 2 cut-out wings and body from strip of Shimmer. Set aside.
Stamp message in Black onto scrap of Shimmer. Punch out with Timeless Label Punch.
Arrange “Dove” and Label onto card front, as desired. I popped up the “label"
Finish with Green Foil “sprig”, knot of white ribbon, and rhinestones as shown
