Dainty Flowers Clean & Simple Card

I wanted to make a card using the "strip/border" of flowers from the FREE SAB Dainty Flowers DSP. This DSP is just gorgeous, and the sheet with the borders and ovals makes for quick, beautiful cards.  I paired this one with the Distressed Gold paper and the Texture Chic DSP from the Annual Catalog!

Measurements:

  • Petal Pink: 1/2 sheet
  • Texture Chic DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Distressed Gold paper: 2 1/2" X 5 1/4"
  • Dainty Flowers DSP (N): floral border cut to 2" x 5 1/4"
To Make This Card:

  • Attach Texture Chic DSP to folded Petal Pink card.
  • Add "floral border" from  Dainty Flowers DSP to Distressed Gold strip. Attach to card front where desired.
  • Finish with Pastel sequins.

There are so many possibilities and occasions that you can use this image for!!  I saw this one using the oval, mounted on Rich Razzleberry and using one of the other background papers in the DSP!  I also paired it with one of the FREE SAB stamp sets, Sending Support, which is so great for those special cards!

Dainty Flowers Book Binding Card

This sample also uses one of the border pieces from the Dainty Flowers DSP, cut apart to make a Book Binding Fold card! All you need is this FREE DSP, a simple Fun Fold, and a stamped sentiment, and you're done!

Measurements:

  • Mossy Meadow: 1/2 sheet
  • Basic White: 2 7/8" x 5 1/4" (inside)
  • Dainty Flowers DSP (N): 1/6 panel (4" x 6" - cut down to 3 7/8" x 5 1/4")
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Mossy Meadow card base in half.  Score at 1 1/4" from fold, front side only.  Crease the front back well. Place adhesive under this 1 1/4" and glue front and back together.
  • Take the DSP piece (preferably one with the tall flowers on the left side). Remove 1" from one side.  Adhere this to the "binding", then measure and trim the other piece and adhere to the right side of card front.
  • Select a sentiment that will fit in an open area of the image, and stamp in Mossy Meadow ink.
  • Place White piece inside.
  • Finish with small Olive bow, and 3 Brushed Dots.

Dainty Flowers 3 Strip Card

Once again, all you really need is the DSP (and a sentiment)!! So many of our papers are just gorgeous and can stand alone on a coordinating card base with a sentiment! This sample uses the sheet that has printed borders on either side.  Cut correctly, you can get 6 awesome cards with floral backgrounds!  I took those pieces and created cards, cutting those pieces apart (but you can just as easily just adhere them to your card base!) For this sample, I cut 3 pieces in varying widths, and then reassembled them onto a Mossy Meadow layer.  Add a sentiment, and those darling butterflies, and voila, you are done!

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" , scrap
  • Dainty Flowers DSP (N): 1/6 border print (4" x 6" pc, trimmed to 3 3/4" x 5")
  • Mossy Meadow: 4" x 5 1/4", scrap
To Make This Card:

  • Trim DSP into 3 pieces of varying widths.  Mine are approx 1 1/2", 1 1/4", 1". I had to shave off a little paper to allow for a narrow border.
  • Attach these to Mossy Meadow piece, then attach to folded White card.
  • Stamp sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink onto scrap of White.  Punch out with smooth oval, and then mount onto scalloped Mossy Meadow layer.
  • Attach this to card with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with scattered Brass Butterflies.

Dainty Flowers Stamped & Die Cut Card

This sample actually uses the Dainty Flowers stamp set and dies!  I saw a version of this card, and thought it was a nice way to use this bundle! I stamped, colored, and cut the larger floral group, to mount onto a panel of our new Cane Weave Embossing. I, then, mounted this piece over one of the leafy dies, die cut from Old Olive.  I love this simplicity, that showcases this stamp!

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4" (to be embossed), 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" (stamped flowers), scrap (sentiment)
  • Old Olive: 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" (die cut), scrap
To Make This Card:

  • Run White layer through new, Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Attach to folded White Card.
  • Stamp floral image, in Memento Black onto piece of White. Color with Blends as desired and cut out with corresponding die.
  • Die cut leafy sprig from piece of Old Olive cardstock.  Attach this piece to card front, where desired.
  • Add floral image over this with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp sentiment in Memento Black onto scrap of White.  Cut out with a smaller die.  Mount onto another split die cut from the same die.  (I used the label from the Fabulous Frames dies.)  Attach to card front, flat, where desired.
  • Finish with small bow of narrow Old Olive ribbon and scattered Iridescent Rhinestones.
