Partridge & Pears Wreath

Ok, I promise that this is the last one!! (This should have posted Thursday.....Technology!) This one uses the bird (partridge) and the pears, but is really unique in that the wreath itself is a delightful jade leaf print from the Flowers for Every Season DSP! Can you figure out which one it is??

Plaid & Wreath Fun Fold

Here's a twist on an "old" fold. First of all, I'm lovin' the Best Plaid Builder Dies! And, the twist is layering scalloped rectangles to the extra piece!!  They fit perfectly,  I will admit all that cardstock does make this card a little heavy.  Also, love, love this color combination - Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and White!

Measurements:

  • Calypso Coral: 1/4  sheet,3 1/8" x 8 1/2", 3 3/4" x 5", scraps
  • Granny Apple Green: 4" x 5 1/4", 3 1/8" x 4 1/4", 3 3/4" square
  • Whisper White: 3 3/4" x 5", 2 3/4" x 3 7/8", 3 1/8" x 4 1/4"
  • Daffodil Delight:scraps
To Make this Card:

  • Layer Granny Apple Green onto Calypso Coral quarter.  Run Whisper White through Plaid "base".  You will need to trim this one a bit to fit right. Run "grid" through smaller Calypso Coral piece. Attach to card over White "base".
  • Fold long Calypso Coral piece in half.  Attach to card over "Plaid" with Tear Tape or Seal+.
  • Cut larger scallop rectangle from both the Whisper White piece, and the Granny Apple Piece.  Attach the White piece to the inside, and the Granny Apple piece to the front.
  • Cut final White piece with medium scallop recctangle. Attach to card over Green layer.
  • Cut ONE "berry" Wreath from Granny Apple square.  Attach to card "flap". Cut 4 Calypso Coral "flowers" and 3 small "flowers" and add to Wreath.
  • Stamp greeting in center of Wreath in Calypso Coral.
  • Finish with double loop Daffodil Bow and coordinating embellishment centers.

Fall Wreath

This is another sample from the Arrange a Wreath Bundle.  I told you I had so much fun creating that I had enough for another class!! My apologies for my lack of variety, but until I can get back into my studio to play, this is what I have done!  Today should be my last day (half day) in the classroom!!

  • Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Cinnamon Cider (N): 3 3/4" square
  • Early Espresso: 3 3/4" square
  • Cinnamon Cider In Color DSP: 3 5/8" x 5"

To Make this Card:

  • Layer Very Vanilla onto folded Bumblee card.
  • Cut "frame" from Cinnamon Cider DSP using 2 stitched rectangles. Attach to card.

Golden Candles

As I was preparing for my Holiday Class, I created many other samples! This is a gorgeous card in Vanilla and Gold. Simple, but elegant! And, much more impressive in person!

Measurements:

  • Very Vanilla: 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4", 3 3/8" x 4 7/8" (Ornate Frame), 1" x 3 3/4"
  • Brushed Metallic (N): 2 3/4" 5 1/2"

To Make this Card:

  • Cut Ornate Frame from smallest Vanilla piece. Cut a Stitched Rectangle from the center. (this barely fits. Use the close-cut edge as the bottom, that will get covered by the Gold Holly). Attach to folded Vanilla card.
  • Emboss "candles" in Gold Embossing powder, in center of "frame".
  • Cut "Holly" border from Brushed Gold cardstock, keeping the little pieces that get completely cut out. Attach this to card below "candles".
  • Emboss message on narrow piece of Vanilla.  I minimized the width as much as possible to show more of the beautiful "Holly". Attach to card, down "center" of Holly.  Tuck extra pieces underneath message to fill it in.
  • Finish with a bow.

Poinsettia Slimline Card

This is another card that I spotted somewhere and put my own twist to it!  I love the amount of space you have to design a Slimline card!  It showcases your images so nicely. It makes nice use of the partial images of the DSP!

Measurements:

  • Very Vanilla: 7" x 8 1/2", 7/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Poinsettia Place DSP (N): 3 1/4" x 8 1/4", 2 Poinsettias, 3 "berries", 1 partial poinsettia
  • Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper (N): 1 3/4" x 8 1/4"

To Make this Card:

  • Attach DSP to folded Vanilla base. Attach Plush paper to card as shown.
  • Cut out 2 "poinsettias" using the coordinating dies from the DSP. Cut 3 sprigs of "berries" with the coordinating dies from the DSP, and "fussy" cut a partial poinsettia.
  • Stamp greeting in Soft Suede onto the strip of Vanilla.  Attach partial poinsettia to wrong side of this strip.  Attach to card, so poinsettia does not hang off the edge of the card.
  • Attach one poinsettia flat, and the second poinsettia with Dimensionals onto card.  Tuck the "berries" under the poinsettia as shown.
