Golden Gift Wrapped

I saw so much potential for our Gift Wrapped bundle, not only for Christmas, but for Birthdays and Gift Cards, too!  I love the bows embossed on gold fold with the Brightly Gleaming DSP!

Measurements:

  • Pretty Peacock: 1/2 sheet
  • Very Vanilla: 3 5/8" x 5", scrap
  • Night of Navy: scraps
  • Gold Foil: scraps
  • Brightly Gleaming DSP (N): scraps of 3 different patterns
To Make This Card:

  • Cut Very Vanilla piece from Stitched Rectangle Die.  Attach to folded Pretty Peacock base.
  • Cut one "present" from the Stitched Square dies and one from the Stitched Rectangle dies. Layer both of these onto Night of Navy leaving a 1/16" - 1/8" edge showing.
  • Embossing sentiment in Gold onto scrap of Very Vanilla.  Cut out with Scalloped Rectangle Die, and mount onto piece of DSP, leaving a 1/8" edge showing.
  • Stamp and Emboss 2 of the "bows" in Gold Embossing Powder onto Gold Foil paper.  Punch out the larger "bow", and fussy cut the smaller "bow".  Attach to "presents".
  • Assemble gifts onto card as desired.  Attach sentiment to card with Dimensionals.

Antique Snowman

This darling snowman is from an awesome set called Snow Wonder, and was a gift from a new friend, and stamper, from California!  Thanks, again, Christi!! I love using ovals and he fits just perfectly in the largest stitched oval! The all over embossed snowflakes give it an antique look!

Measurements:

  • Cherry Cobbler: 1/2 sheet, 2 7/8" x 3 3/4"
  • Whisper White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2 5/8" x 3 1/2"
To Make This Card:

  • Stamp the row of "trees" across the Whisper White quarter of cardstock in Shaded Spruce. Add sentiment in Black on bottom right corner.
  • Run through the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and attach to folded Cherry Cobbler card.
  • Stamp "snowman" onto piece of white.  Cut out with largest Stitched Oval.  Color in with Blends as shown.  Attach to large Cherry Cobbler scalloped circle, then to card front with Dimentionals.
  • Finish with a little Wink of Stella, as desired.

November 5/$10 Class Samples

My monthly 5/$10 class is next week. The theme is "Winter" (hmmm, I see a blue theme here) and I have included some gorgeous cards (you need to see them in person) and a couple of Fun Folds! Details to follow in the next couple of days. Enjoy!!

Trim The Town Double "Z" Fold

Today's Fun Fold is a DOUBLE "Z" Fold using MOSTLY the Trim the Town DSP and Home Together Dies, I just LOVE it! Kudos to Catherine Proctor who designed it! I really should do a video on this card.  Let me know if you would appreciate one!

Measurements:

  • Whisper White: 1/2 sheet, cut LENGTHWISE: 1 3/8" x 11", 2 1/4" x 3 3/4", scrap
  • Trim the Town DSP (N): 4” x 5 ¼”, 2 pcs 2 1/2" x 4" (trees), sheet with "houses"
To Make This Card:

  • Fold the larger Whisper White piece in half, and then, again, in half against itself, creating a "Z". Crease well with Bone Folder. Repeat with the Whisper White strip, but set this aside for now.
  • Adhere the coordinating "tree" DSP to the panels of the card. Note: This is a "landscape" card.
  •  Stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight, and "trees" in Old Olive onto the White layer.  Adhere to card under "Z", and close to the crease.
  • Cut Houses and Trees from DSP sheet as desired. Note, if desired, I also cut a "hill" in the longer, front of the Whisper White strip.
  • Attach the narrow "z" to the base "z", as shown, making sure you attach only HALF of the long, front piece.
  • Cut desired sentiment from the DSP, and attach to a punched Classic Label in Whisper White. Arrange small and large house, large tree, and sentiment on the front of card. I "popped up" the small house and sentiment with Dimensionals.
  • Add houses to rest of strip, as desired.
  • Finish with Coastal Cabana rhinestones on sentiment, and Adhesive snowflakes scattered over all.

  • Soft Seafoam: scrap
