Fold Back Pop Up Tulips

This awesome "guest" card one was made by Club Member and Fellow Demonstrator, Carmen Miyoshi! Isn't it just gorgeous! I have made these in the past, but it's been a while! Carmen's mastered the ability to keep the center diamond popped up! I love it!! She's used the retired Flowering Tulips DSP and the current Flowering Tulips stamp set.

Tulips n Greenhouse Book Binder Card

Mom could envision the Tulips from the Flowering Fields DSP behind the detailed Greenhouse Die. Well, it worked...beautifully! I, then, made it into a Book Binder card! I love how this turned out!! ....a "Becky (well, Rita) Original"!!

Measurements:

Pear Pizzazz: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
Flowering Fields DSP (N): 4" square (green check), 1" x 4" & 3" x 3 1/4" (tulips)
Copper Foil: 3" x 3 1/4"
Basic White: 4" square (inside)

To Make This Card:

Fold Pear Pizzazz in half. Score FRONT 1 1/4" from fold. Crease well.
Attach Tear n Tape under this 1 1/4" and attach to card creating a "Book Binding".
Attach "green check" to right side of card. Attach 1" strip of tulips to the left, on the "binding".
Cut the "detailed greenhouse" from Copper Foil.
Cut "tulip fields" from section of DSP, where desired, using the smooth, background greenhouse die. Adhere together.
Add White square to inside.
Add Iridescent Gems to 4 corners.
Take about 7" of ribbon, fold in half and make an overhand knot. Add to card with Mini Glue Dots. Trim ends.

Awesome 3D Tulip Funky Fun Fold

I somehow missed this card! This was my original Funky Fold card!! So, here it is!! We are doing this card in my classes this week!

This amazing layout is has a rather simple, surprising way to open! Thanks, once again, to my Minnesota friend, Terri Gaines for this fold and inspiration! It uses the interesting 3D Tulip Dies and the gorgeous Tulip Fields DSP! You could make this in so many fun color combinations!

Measurements:

Basic White: 5 1/2" x 7", 2 pcs @ 2 1/2" x 3 1/4", 1/4 sheet (card support)
Poppy Parade: 2 3/4" x 5 1/2", 2 pcs @ 2 3/4" x 3 1/2", scraps
Calypso Coral: 2 5/8" x 3 5/8" (optional), scrap (tulip)
Pear Pizzazz: scraps
Flowering Fields DSP (N): 1 1/4" x 5 1/2"

To Make This Card:

Score White base at 1 3/8" from each side. Crease well.
Run this folded card base through Timber 3D Embossing Folder. (I, then, added a quarter sheet to the back.)
Next, attach the DSP piece to the center of the larger Poppy Parade piece.
Now, place it inside the card base, so that the 2 outside flaps overlap, equally (about 1/8") onto the Poppy Parade piece. Attach this JUST to the LEFT side of your card. Set the card base aside.
Next, we'll work on the 2 other layered pieces. Take one White piece and attach to a Poppy Parade rectangle. (This will go inside.) Set this aside.
Run the other White piece through the 3D Timber Embossing Folder. Then attach this piece, if desired, to the Calypso Coral layer (if using this optional layer, you could cut the one Tulip piece from this as it will be sandwiched in between rectangles), and then to the other Poppy Parade rectangle. Set this aside, too.
Now, to make the 3D Tulip! You will need to cut 1 3-petal looking tulip from Poppy Parade as well as one single (there are 3 of this same petal in the Die Set). Then you will need a contrasting 2 petal piece.
Crease the 3 petal piece. Place a Dimensional on the 2 petal piece near the inside bottom. Curve this a little with your bone folder, if desired. Now attach this to the center of the 3 petals. Finish with the single petal on top. I used a Dimensional on this one, too.
Now, cut 2 different "leaves" and a "stem" from Pear Pizzazz. Place the "stem" directly onto the rectangle with the embossing. Add the "leaves" with a Dimensional and then add the flower as well, flat.
Center this piece on front of card. Attach to the RIGHT flap.
For placement of the inside piece, place behind the corresponding front piece and attach.

Blended Marble Tulips

I just LOVE these 3D tulips!! Pick your favorite background DSP, find a coordinating DSP for the flowers (in this case I blended in some extra color to coordinate), and you have an instant beautiful card! Oh, and don't forget those darling Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Measurements:

Rich Razzleberry: 1/2 sheet
Flowering Fields DSP: 4" x 5 1/4" (purple tulips)
Simply Marbleous: 1/2 sheet (3" x 6") - Highland Heather
Basic White: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", 1/4 sheet (inside)

To Make This Card:

Attach DSP to folded Rich Razzleberry card.
Cut 2nd largest stitched scalloped rectangle from Basic White.
To make the Highland Heather Marble Paper a little more DSP "friendly", I added some Rich Razzleberry ink color to the DSP with a Blending Brush. I love the colorations this creates!
To make the 3 different tulips, you will need one each of the "folded" bases. There are 3 of these, 2 full tulips and a bud. You will need 2 of the "V" shape insert, and 3 of the small oval inserts (there are 3 of these dies!) So each flower has 3 pieces and those 3 pieces are different for each flower. (See the chart above)
Fold each flower "base" along score lines. Attach together with Mini Glue Dots.
The "bud" has a "ruffled" top. It only has one small oval insert. Place this inside, then set aside.
For the other 2, full tulips, attach together with Mini Glue Dots. Then, insert the "V" piece, then lastly the small oval. I attached these, also with MIni Glue Dots, but you could also use Multipurpose Glue or Dimensionals. Note: You might want to shape the edges of these petals with a Bone Folder.
Arrange the flowers on top of the White rectangle, as desired. Mark base with a pencil.
Next, remove the flowers and stamp 3 "stems" in Soft Succulent, then add "leaves" where desired.
Now, attach tulips. Attach this White piece to card front with Dimensionals.
Cut the largest stitched rectangle from 1/4 sheet of white. Place inside card. Add a sentiment in Soft Succulent ink.
Finish with a Fresh Freesia bow, and a couple Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Stunning 3D Tulip Card + Video

Sorry, for some reason, this did not get posted yesterday, so you'll have 2 today!!

This color combination of this card is just stunning! It combines Basic Gray with Pink (Blushing Bride/Flirty Flamingo) and Soft Succulent! I love the shades in the FREE SAB Simply Marbleous DSP for the Dimensional Tulips! Add a gray doily and some awesome Heart & Home DSP and you have a stunning creation!

This is my original.

Here is my video variation, which I DO like better. Not as crowded.

3D Tulip Builder Chart

Measurements:

Basic White: 1/2 sheet
Basic Gray: 4" x 5 1/4"
Heart & Home DSP (N): 3 3/4" x 5" (gray woodgrain)
Simply Marbleous: 1/2 sheet (3" x 6")
Soft Succulent: 2 3/4" x 4 1/4"

To Make This Card:

Attach Basic Gray and DSP to folded White card.
Add Basic Gray Doily towards the top.
To make the 3 different tulips, you will need one each of the "folded" bases. There are 3 of these, 2 full tulips and a bud. You will need 2 of the "V" shape insert, and 3 of the small oval inserts (there are 3 of these dies!) So each flower has 3 pieces and those 3 pieces are different for each flower. (I will be doing a video on this to demonstrate!)
Fold each flower "base" along score lines. Attach together with Mini Glue Dots.

For the other 2, full tulips, attach together with Mini Glue Dots. Then, insert the "V" piece, then lastly the small oval. I attached these, also with MIni Glue Dots, but you could also use Multipurpose Glue or Dimensionals. Note: You might want to shape the edges of these petals with a Bone Folder.
Place the 3 "tulips" onto Doily, as desired. I attached them flat, with Seal.
Cut from Soft Succulent, 3 narrow "stems", 2 large "leaves" and 1 small leaf. Arrange onto card as shown.
Finish with a Flirty Flamingo Bow, and Iridescent Rhinestones.
