Single Floating Pop Up Card

I last tried this Fun Fold using the Way to Goat stamp set.  It was a DOUBLE Floating Pop Up Card.  This is a SINGLE one!  Love the colors, love the paper, just Love, Love, Love it!

Measurements:

  • Soft Seafoam: 1/2 sheet, 3 3/4" x 5", 2 1/2" square
  • Penguin Playmates DSP: 4" x 5 1/4", punched penguins, fussy cut polar bear
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2 1/4" square, 1" x 5 1/4" strip
To Make This Card:

  • Attach DSP to folded Soft Seafoam card base.
  • Cut "rectangles" windows from Picture This dies. Attach to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Punch 3 "penguins" from DSP and fussy cut one "polar bear".  Add to card with Dimensionals as shown.
  • Cut out 3 balloons from various colors, using Sheep Dies (these balloons are darling!)  Attach to card front where desired.
  • For the inside, add White piece to inside of card.
  • Mount White square to Soft Seafoam square.  Take one of the punched "penguins" and add to the square, as well as one of the balloons.
  • Score White strip at 1", 2" , 4 1/4"  crease well with bone folder. You end up with 1" square at one end, and 2-1" squares at the other.
  • Start at the end with just 1, 1" square.  Apply Seal+ or Tear n Tape to this piece.  Also add to 2 1/4" area.  Center the decorated square in the larger area.  Open up card.  On inside of card, place cut edge of strip against card fold, adhesive side up.  Close front flap over adhesive!
  • Now, repeat adhesive for other 1" area at other end of strip.  Fold 1" strip to back.  Open card again, lay square flat, and adhere adhesive of other end to card. Lift up flap, and voila it pops up!
  • Complete card by adding a sentiment in black, to the inside.

Split Dahlia

Here is my second Delicate Dahlia creation!  This time I used the Fine Line stamp. I stamped it and then cut it apart (a really simple technique), mounting it on a piece of our cool, new Cork paper! I also mounted it on a neat, new (AC) embossing folder, Pretty Flowers!

Measurements:

  • Gorgeous Grape: 1/2 sheet
  • HIghland Heather: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White: 3 1/2" square, scrap
  • Cork Specialty Paper: 3" x 3 7/8"
To Make This Card:

  • Run Highland Heather piece through Pretty Flowers EF. Attach to folded Gorgeous Grape card.
  • Add Cork (or in retrospect, I might just use Gorgeous Grape).
  • Stamp Fine Line Dahlia in Gorgeous Grape onto White square. Take Blender Pen and drag some of the wet ink into the image.  It it dries too quickly, use ink from the Highland Heather and then Gorgeous Grape ink pads, until it looks the way you want it. Add Wink of Stella, if desired.
  • Now, stamp 2 leaves in Green (I used Granny Apple Green).  Repeat coloring like the Dahlia.
  • Cut this white piece in half "lengthwise". Then cut each piece 1" from "center".  The outside pieces will measure 5/8". Attach to card over Cork as shown, with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp sentiment in Highland Heather.  Cut out with Stitched Rectangle die.  Attach to card.
  • Finish with new, White Glittered Ribbon and Opal Rounds.

Counting Sheep Tulle Shaker Card

I'm sure many of you have tried making a shaker card, but have you ever tried a TULLE Shaker Card? I was looking for ideas for the darling SAB set, Counting Sheep, and discovered this idea! I love that it uses so many of the Sheep dies.  It has so much dimension!!  Totally fun.  Thanks to Mom for cutting out all the pieces.  Makes the assembly go a lot faster!!

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4", scraps for sheep/clouds
  • Crumb Cake: 1 1/2" x 3"
  • Daffodil Delight: scrap
To Make This Card:

  • Select circle die that is a little smaller that the width of your tulle (netting). Temporarily adhere the White layer on top of front of folded White card. Cut chosen circle through both layers.  Separate these pieces, and toss the circles (or use them for pieces, if they fit).
  • Take the folded card and place adhesive entirely around the circle opening.  Attach square of Tulle and add more adhesive over tulle and round opening.
  • Add desired amount of "shaker" material on top of the tulle. I used our new Shaker Shapes!
  • Now, take the White layer and place adhesive on wrong side around the circle opening and around outside edges of card.  Line up circles and adhere...and your shaker component is done!!
  • Stamp 3 "sheep" onto scraps of White cardstock. Cut out with corresponding dies and color as shown. Add color, where desired.
  • Also die cut a Daffodil "sun", 2 "clouds", and a Crumb Cake "fence".
  • Set the "walking sheep" aside, and arrange the rest of the pieces on the front of the card, as desired. I DID pop up the sheep.
  • Now, open the card, and pop up the remaining "sheep" in the "window".  I decided to add the Birthday sentiment to the inside instead of cramming it onto the front.
  • And, voila, your card is done!

Three Pretty Pumpkins

I sat down to make at least 2 cards from my new stash!  This is the second one from my new Pretty Pumpkins bundle.  I just LOVE the patterned pumpkin stamp and the detailed pumpkin dies!  My inspiration for this card comes from one of my new stampers, and demonstrator, from California, Christi Redding!  I love the mixed metals for this card!  It's just gorgeous. You need to see this in person!  Just gorgeous. Thanks, Christi!!

Measurements:

  • Very Vanilla: 1/2 sheet, 3 3/4" x 5", scraps
  • Gold & Rose Gold Metallic paper: 4" x 5 1/4", 2" x 2 1/2"
  • Be Dazzling (SAB): 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Brushed Metallics: scraps
To Make This Card:

  • To "save" on my fancy, Gold Metallic Paper, I began by cutting a "frame" from the paper. You can do this with your Paper Trimmer, or using a larger rectangle die.  Save the center piece for the cut pumpkin! Add this to your folded Very Vanilla card.
  • Run the smaller Vanilla layer through the new Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Attach this to card.
  • Cut tall, fancy pumpkin from the Be Dazzling paper and the small, squatty pumpkin from the Gold Metallic paper (Annual Catalog).
  • Stamp and emboss the detailed pumpkin.  Cut out with corresponding die.
  • Arrange all 3 pumpkins onto card base as shown.
  • Now, cut 2 "leaves" from the Gold Brushed Foil (Holiday) paper. The larger one I added to the "fancy pumpkin", and I "wrapped" a smaller one around the Gold Metallic one.  This is really cool!
  • I embossed the sentiment in gold onto a scrap of Very Vanilla, and fussy cut around it.
  • I "squiggled" gold cord around the back, and attach to card with Dimensionals.
