4-Strip Valentine Gnome

I haven't done this technique in a few months, and it's one of my favorites! I saw a version of this adorable gnome and knew that I had to make it! I used the new Country Gingham DSP (LOVE it) and the gnome with the heart from our new Friendly Gnomes (which also coordinates with the Gnomes Dies from the last mini catalog!) So, cute and simple!! We will be doing this in my class this week!!

Measurements: :

Sweet Sorbet: 1/2 sheet, 1 7/8" x 3 1/8"
Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4" (one for inside), 1 3/4" x 3"
Country Gingham DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 7/8" x 2 7/8"; 2 pcs @ 7/8" x 4 1/8"

To Make this Card:

Attach White layer to folded Sweet Sorbet card
Starting in upper left corner, attach shorter piece of Gingham, then work around the corners alternating short and long DSP pieces.
Add Sweet Sorbet piece to the center.
Stamp "gnome" onto White, center piece with Memento Black ink. Add sentiment.
Color with Blends as shown.
Add White layer to inside. Stamp sentiment and any other images to inside. Color with Blends, if needed.
Finish with pink adhesive-backed sequins from the new, Pastel Sequins.

Playing in the Rain 2

This is a different option for the "fox in the rain" from the Playing in the Rain set that I posted last week. This is a little simplier version for my gals at Garner. It uses the retired SAB DSP, Sunshine and Rainbows from a few years ago, along with some basic coloring with Blends. They loved it, and I do, too! Different colors, less going on (except for the darling acrylic "raindrops") perfectly suitable!

Measurements: :

Basic White: 1/2 sheet. 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" (frame)
Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (SAB) (ret): 4" x 5 1/4"

To Make this Card:

Attach Rainbow DSP to folded White card.
Cut Stitched Scallop from the piece of White.
Stamp "fox" image in Memento Black onto scalloped label.
Color with Blends that coordinate with the DSP, as shown.
Attach to card with Dimensionals.
Finish with Misty Moonlight (ret) bow and Acrylic "Raindrops" (ret) from Clear Glitter Epoxy Shapes.

Fancy Frame

I haven't had the chance to use these gorgeous Fancy Frame Dies from the annual catalog. I wanted to pair them with some, new fancy papers, so I chose the new Fine Shimmer Paper and Fancy Floral DSPin the new January-April Mini Catalog. I love how it turned out. A nice clean & simple card that could be combined with so many different products for so many different occasions! This picture doesn't do this card justice. My Garner Gals LOVED it!

Measurements: :

Fresh Freesia: 1/2 sheet
Fancy Flora (N): 4" x 5 1/4", 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Fresh Freesia Shimmer Paper (N): 3 1/4" x 4 3/4"

To Make This Card:

Attach DSP to folded Fresh Freesia l card base.
Die cut "frame" from piec e of Freesia Shimmer Paper. Note: Because this paper has a coated backing, you will want to run the die back and forth, and possibly flip it over, to get everything cut.
Use Multipurpose glue to attach the "frame" to the center of card.
Stamp sentiment of your choice in Memento Black. You can stamp directly onto the DSP background. I used the beautiful Go To Greetings set! Several of them fit in the opening of the die very nicely.
Finish with a Sheer Pool Party bow, and scattered, retired Sequins & Gems.

Another Adorable Owl

I saw this neat version of the Adorable Owls and knew I had to duplicate it! Of course, I added my own touches! It uses the new Cane Weave 3D embossing folder, my fav Dandy Designs SAB pack, and the SAB set Adorable Owls! We WILL be making this one in my class this month!

Measurements: :

Balmy Blue: 1/2 sheet, 3 1/2" square
Dandy Designs (N)(SAB): 1 1/2" x 5 1/4", 3 1/4" square
Basic White: 2 3/4" square, 3" x 5 1/4"

To Make This Card:

Fold Balmy Blue l card base in half. Trim 1" from front of card. Save this piece for another project.
Run the larger White piece through the new, Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. Attach to top flap of card.
Attach Balmy Blue Stripe DSP piece to the lower inside of card.
Layer the Balmy Blue square and the Blue Polka Dot DSP together. Add to card as shown.
Die cut Stitched Square from White piece.
Stamp "owl" in Memento black, and color with Blends, as shown.
Attach to layered square with Dimensionals.
Finish with Balmy Blue bow and Fine Sparkle gems.
